Taking photos is one of the most rewarding creative processes for me. At the click of a finger, I can create art and preserve a moment in time as a visual impression. Taking photos for me is a way to portray nature in the way I see it and share it with others. And so is the art of taking self-portraits. For me this is mostly a way to capture my feeling of being connected to nature.

In this seminar we will cover

  • the 3 most important settings in your camera and how to use them

  • choosing the right surroundings

  • clothing options depending on your wanted end-result

  • how to create different moods depending on season, weather and time of day

  • where to place yourself in the photo and how to set the focus right

We will also talk about weather phenomena we are not currently experiencing and what to do in these moments. Since the majority of our workshop will be held outdoors please dress for the nordic climate this course will be held in.

In addition you will need:

  • a digital camera (I recommend one with the ability to shoot in RAW file format for higher resolution and more options in editing, but most phones can do very well, too)

  • a way to control your camera from a distance. This can either be a self-timer function in your camera, a remote control or a phone app. Please reach out if you need help to find a solution for your camera model beforehand

  • a change of clothes to take photos in if you want to have a more fairytale feeling to your photos than weather-tight clothes usually offer

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, I’d love to help!
