Moose-Safari
We will drive on remote and isolated forest roads at dusk or dawn to try and spot the royalty of the nordic forests - moose.
Meet the Royals
Some people joke that northern Sweden is so sparcely populated that some areas are home to more moose than people. However, this is untrue. The population of moose in our region Västernorrland was at approximately 63 000 in the year 2022 compared to 245.453 people in 2019.
During this trip we will drive on remote and isolated forest roads at the time between night and day to try and spot some moose in the wild. At times we might leave the car and see if we can find droppings, tracks or other traces of moose in the area.
Animal sightings are a special occurrence and there is no guarantee to see moose during our trip, even if we visit places where moose have been spotted recently.
Note that Moose Safaris should always take place at dusk or dawn as this is when moose are most active and should therefore be booked at around the time of sunset or sunrise.
You can see the times for sunset and sunrise in this area on the date of your stay here.
